Scientific Advisory Board

After signing contracts with the three NCoEs, the Programme Committee will appoint "a very high level Scientific Advisory Board (SAB)". SAB is a joint advisory body for the three NCoEs with the aim of supporting and advising the Centres, thus contributing to the monitoring and strengthening of the scientific work of the Centres as well as the development of the NCoE Programme on Food, Nutrition and Health research as a whole. The SAB should be proactive and propose improvements in the activities of the Centres, in order to further strengthen their scientific excellence and international strength. The Board can also take a stand on changes in the research activities and plans as well as in the structures of the Centre.

The following Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) has been nominated by the Steering Committee (SC) for scientific monitoring of the work performed under NordForsk's Food, Nutrition and Health Programme in 2007-2012:

Steering Committee

NordForsk has together with the Joint Financing Bodies appointed a Steering Committee for the NCoE Programme on Food, Nutrition and Health. The Steering Committee handles questions related to the programme and they have an advisory mandate preparing decisions and proposing actions to the Board of NordForsk. The Steering Committee can have a decision-making mandate in questions, which have been delegated to it by the Board of NordForsk.
